HR on repurpose: how to harness the new forces that reshape work, people, organizations and society (live streaming)

In an unprecedentedly disruptive socio-economic environment where technology, productivity and value creation are key, and when 4 on 5 workers are still directly or indirectly impacted by the covid19 pandemic, HR departments must deeply rethink their role, their purpose, and the value they deliver. Clearly, repurposing HR today is essentially about organizational redesign, new work efficiencies, skills resilience, social stability, among others. Ultimately, repurposing HR also consists of ensuring all those elements are amplifying one another to quickly and tangibly boost workforce performance, employee engagement, and the company’s bottom line. Moreover, repurposing HR is going to be the fundamental lever to enable organizational agility, deliver extraordinary employee experience, and fortify customer satisfaction. Although extremely exciting, such a journey is not without challenges. Not only it’s difficult to measure its direct impact, but many of the critical success factors are also outside HR control like e.g. leadership behaviors, social pressure, reset of business priorities, and execution at all levels of the organization. The challenge is far from being an easy one, but mandatory to take on.
